How To Join Kampala Capital City Authority FC Academy 2025
Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC), also Kampala City, is a Ugandan professional football club in Kampala, the largest city and capital of Uganda.
Founded on 12 April 1963 by Samuel Wamala, the head of the Council’s Sewage Works section in the City Engineering Department at that time. Casual workers of the sewage council were the predominant members of the club until it was expanded to reach every other department in the city’s council.
In 1965, KCC joined the Third Division of the Kampala and District Football League, which was split into two sections, under the guidance of Bidandi Ssali and Samuel Wamala. The club was then promoted from the Third Division South, after finishing in sixth place in the first season in 1966.
However, 1974 held another breakthrough for KCC as they won second place in both their first and second seasons, and gained promotion to the National League. Later in 1976, the club won their first championship title after finishing one point ahead of their opponent, and then again, in 1977 they won the title, but in a more glorious manner.
The KCC team broke up with senior players turning semi-professional before moving to the United Arab Emirates.
