Since its inception, Hawi Family Hospital has been providing its patients with full medical care encompassing outpatient services, neurology, laboratory, imaging diagnostics, and more. We offer extensive medical procedures to outbound and inbound patients and we are very proud of patient care, which is our greatest achievement.

We are recruiting to fill the position below;

Job Title: Medical Officer

Employment Type: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Monitoring and providing appropriate clinical care (medical and surgical) to patients on hospital wards and in outpatient clinics.
2. Admitting patients requiring special care followed by investigations and treatment.
3. Examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical conditions.
4. Carrying out specific procedures, e.g. performing operations and specialist investigations;
5. Keeping the referring doctor informed of inpatient and outpatient progress.
6. Issuing a preliminary discharge summary to each patient prior to them leaving hospital, in accordance with service specifications.
7. Maintaining patient rights and be aware of cultural differences when dealing with patients.
8. Liaising with other medical and non-medical staff in the hospital to ensure quality treatment.
9. Reporting on-call (off shifts, weekends and holidays) as scheduled.
10. Ensuring that comprehensive hospital medical records for all in and outpatients are accurately filled.
11. Providing educational and clinical experience for clinical staff.

Job Requirements

1. Degree in Medicine and Surgery with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
2. Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
3. Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board and hold a valid practicing license.
4. Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Experience:

• A minimum of 2 Year Post Enrollment Experience in a busy hospital.
