When Will The 2021 UNISA Exams Take Place?
UNISA has allocated a single examination period for the 2021 academic year. The exams will mostly take place online to accommodate the Covid-19 restrictions.
Due to Covid-19 protocols, Unisa has decided to schedule their examinations into a single period at the end of the academic year.
UNISA students can expect both semester one and semester two’s exams to be written in one period at the end of the year, rather than having two separate exam periods.
Although examinations will be online and the approved examination type per module will be applied, due to Covid-19 they chose to take further precautions to allocate one single exam period.
The 2021 examination will be over a longer period than usual and will be scheduled from 20 September to 26 November 2021.
The exam period is longer than usual to give students more time to prepare because they are writing more exams than usual.
A special supplementary examination will be conducted during June/July for qualifying students (supplementary, aegrotat, FI concessions) emanating from the January/February 2021 examination period.
UNISA has made a few changes to their 2021 academic year, both because of the Covid-19 restrictions and because of the extended registration period.
They have extended semester one to spread it over 22 weeks and the assessment due date will be from the 1st of April to the 31st of August.
Semester two will then commence earlier allowing students to have more time to register and get started early.
