The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (PHCB) was established by the Lagos State Health Sector Reform Law (2006) and is tasked with the overall responsibility of primary health care management in the State. The Board acts as a strategic link between the State and LGA in matters relating to primary health service improvement and delivery.
The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board is saddled with the responsibilities of providing quality health care services at the grassroots within the state. These roles can only be performed efficiently with competent and dedicated health workers who are passionate at delivering robust healthcare services to the citizens of Lagos state.
Based on the above, the Primary Health Care Board is requesting for applications from qualified candidates for the vacant positions below:
Job Title: Medical Officer – GL. 12
Location: Lagos
Job Requirements
- University Certificate from Medical College (MBBS, MD, MBCH), NYSC Discharge Certificate, Annual Practicing License, Curriculum Vitae.
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Lagos
Job Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician Certificate from Pharmacist Council of Nigeria accredited School of Health Technology
- Current year Annual Permit to practice issued from Pharmacist Council of Nigeria (PCN) Current year Annual Permit to practice issued from Pharmacist Council Of Nigeria (PCN).
Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: Lagos
Job Requirements
- First Degree in Pharmacy ( B.Pharm/ Pharm D) from a recognized institution
- Registration with the Pharmacist Council Of Nigerian Current year Annual License to Practice issued from Pharmacist Council Of Nigerian (PCN) NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate
Job Title: Staff Midwife – GL07
Location: Lagos
Job Requirements
- Registered Midwife (RM) Certificate, Two years post qualification experience
- Current practicing License.
Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician, GL07
Location: Lagos
Job Requirements
- Candidates who have completed the prescribed 3 years training programme at accredited Colleges of Health Technology Possessing,
- Medical Laboratory Technician Certificate, Registrable with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) with a practising license (Current Practicing License).
Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist, GL10
Location: Lagos
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess a Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences as BMLS or AIMLT registered by Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN),
- Registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (Current Practicing License),
- National Youth Service Corp.
Job Title: Community Health Extension Worker Cadre, GL07
Location: Lagos
Job Requirements
- Must process an OND in Community Health,
- 5 O’ level credit pass in all Sciences including Maths and English Language,
- Must be a Registered Member of Community Health Registration Board Of Nigeria (CHRBN),
- Must have a valid Practicing License.
Job Title: Environmental Health Officer, GL08

- National Diploma (ND-WAHEB) or a Higher National Diploma (HND-WAHEB) in Environmental Health Plus Degree in the under listed:
- Environmental Health Sciences
- Environmental Resource Management
- Environmental Management and Toxicology,

- Must have undergone 4 years training in Government approved College of Health Technology
- Must be registered and licensed with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORECON).

Job Requirements
- Must process B.Sc in Community Health Services, 5 O’ level credit pass in all Sciences including Math and English Language
- Must be a registered Member of Community Health Registration Board of Nigeria (CHRBN)
- Must have a valid Practicing License.
Job Title: Nursing Officer – GL09

Job Requirements
- BNSC with NYSC Discharge Certificate Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM) PHN certificate is an added advantage Current practicing License.
Job Title: Health Education Officer, GL08

- B.Sc in Health Education, NYSC Discharge Certificate.
Job Title: Higher Environmental Health Officer, GL09
Location: Lagos
Job Requirements
- National Diploma (ND-WAHEB) or a Higher National Diploma (HND-WAHEB) in Environmental Health Plus Degree in the under listed:
- Environmental Health Sciences
- Environmental Resource Management
- Environmental Management and Toxicology,
- NYSC Discharge / Exemption Certificate
- Must be registered and licensed with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORECON),
- At least 6 years post qualification experience.
Title: Professional Diploma / Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Holders
Location: Lagos
Job Requirements
- Successful completion of a Three-year Professional Diploma/Ordinary National Diploma in Health Information Management from a recognized institution.
- Certificate of proficiency in Health Technologies and Healthcare Management from a recognized institution.
- A current professional license of practice issued by the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN).
