University of Fort Hare First Year Registration 2021 First Year registrations for the 2021 academic year are open at the University of Fort Hare (UFH).

The University of Fort Hare’s (UFH) mission is to provide a high quality of education of international standards which contributes to the advancement of knowledge that is socially and ethically relevant. The university boasts alumni such as Oliver Tambo, Nelson Mandela, Govan Mbeki, Robert Sobukwe, Mangosuthu Buthelezi and many more.

UFH has 3 campuses, namely: Alice Campus, Bhisho Campus, East London Campus. The university offers many courses in different Faculties, including the following:

  • Management & Commerce
  • Health Sciences
  • Education
  • Social Sciences & Humanities
  • Science & Agriculture
  • Nelson R. Mandela School of Law

The registrations for first time entrants into UFH have opened on 1 March for the East London campus.

Registration will take place on the following dates for first years:

  • East London campus: From 1st March
  • Bhisho campus: 5th to 6th March, and;
  • Alice campus: 8th to 14th March

Before registering you must make sure that you have been offered admission to the university by tracking your application status.

Students must make sure that they know whether their faculty will be doing online registration, traditional registration or both. The traditional registration will involve no contact as well due to restrictions put in place due to Covid-19.

UFH has said that New First Year students who struggle with the registration process are allowed to go onto campus on the designated dates according to the Covid-19 Compliant Registration schedule.

On arrival at the campus, students must be compliant of all Covid-19 protocols such as wearing a mask over the mouth and nose, sanitizing their hands and observe social distancing.

The first semester of the 2021 academic year at UFH will commence on 15 March 2021.
