Slovak Government Scholarship 2023/2024 for Kenyan Students

The Government of Kenya has received Four (4) scholarships for Bachelor’s leading to Master’s degree studies for the Academic Year 2023/2024 from the Government of the Slovak Republic.

Areas Of Study Include:

  • Teacher Training and Education Science;
  • Economics and Management; (except Tourism)
  • Ecological and Environmental Sciences;
  • Biotechnology;
  • Agriculture and Landscape;
  • Wood Science and Technology;
  • Forestry; (except Forest ecosystem services, Forest Technology)
  • Veterinary Medicine;
  • General Medicine; (except Medical Biophysics, Medical, Clinical and
  • Pharmaceutical Biochemistry, Medical Neurosciences)
  • Dentistry, Dental Medicine;
  • Pharmacy;
  • Healthcare Sciences; (except Dental Hygiene, Physiological and Clinical
  • Nutrition, Physiotherapy, Radiology Technology, Dental Technique)
  • Public Health;
  • Nursing;
  • Mechanical Engineering;
  • Civil Engineering;
  • Cybernetics;
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering;
  • Chemical Engineering and Technology;
  • Food Sciences;
  • Transport; (except Transport Services, Postal Services, Logistics);
  • Extraction and Processing of Earth Resources;
  • Computer Science.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation expenses, and subsistence allowances for the whole duration of studies. Students will pay the cost of airfare (around EUR 800) (and about EUR 800 is recommended in the beginning). The studies will be conducted in the Slovak language following the first year of intensive language preparation.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

Undergraduate (Bachelor’s and Master’s degree studies)

  • Minimum KCSE Mean Grade of B (Plain)
  • Not more than 25 years of age (but not less than 18)
  • Strong grades on the major subjects that are key to the specialty preferred
  • Completed Secondary Education in the last three (3) years
  • Has KCSE certificate
  • Valid passport (not older than 10 years, the validity of which has to exceed that of the requested visa by at least 3 months, must have at least 2 blank pages),
  • Birth certificate
  • References of two school teachers including their full contact details
  • Structured and signed CV.

Application Procedure

All eligible candidates must read and follow the following guidelines strictly:

1. Obtain standard application forms from the Ministry of Education offices at Telposta Towers, 27th Floor, Room 2702 OR download the same from the Ministry’s website: www.education.go.ke under the scholarships theme.

2. Completed application forms with attached certified photocopies of ID, academic/professional certificates, transcripts, Birth Certificate and/or other testimonials should be sent to:

3. The preliminary application forms should reach the Ministry not later than 10th of May 2023.
