About Nairobi City County

The Nairobi City County is the creation of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the successor of the defunct City Council of Nairobi. It operates under the auspices of the Cities and Urban Areas Act, The Devolved Governments Act, and a host of other Acts.

The Nairobi City County is charged with the responsibility of providing a variety of services to residents within its area of jurisdiction. These include the services that were hitherto provided by the defunct City Council and the ones that have been transferred from the national government.

Qualifications

  • Be a resident of Nairobi City County
  • Be a Degree/Diploma holder
  • Be an Artisan Certificate holder
  • Between 21 and 35 years of age
  • Have passion and experience in serving the local community
  • Must be willing to commit their time to the assignment for the entire period of the programme
  • Good communication and excellent writing skills in Swahili and English
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic working environment
  • Creative and committed in the assignment of duties
  • Readiness to be deployed to any workstation within the County.

Duration of Internship: Six (6) Months
