Job Title: Communication & Corporate Affairs Officer

Employment Type: Full Time

Qualification: BA/BSc/HND

Job Description

The Institute hereby seeks to recruit results-oriented and self-driven experienced professional to join our team for the position above:

This position is responsible for provision of assistance in branding, communications and developing content for the KIM website and Intranet, social media monitoring and providing event organization support to all KIM divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Brand, communicate and position the Institute as a hub of excellence through the use of branded items such as brochures, banners and flyers.
  2. Execute effective Media relations and identify opportunities to participate in media through ensuring availability of required media content such as photo coverage, developing media invites and developing media content.
  3. Coordinate and drive effective Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programmes through organizing CSI activities.
  4. Execute a vibrant digital presence through the KIM website and social media. This entails managing Facebook pages, Twitter and linked-in and ensuring constant posting on social media to keep it active. Also in charge of sending bulk SMS to the public.
  5. Responsible for development and update of KIM Documentary
  6. Provide support in the coordination of event brandings such as COYA awards and trainings by ensuring the availability of the necessary branded items.
  7. Manage photography and Videography in KIM events to be kept as a database of events that occurred.
  8. Assist in media monitoring and record topical issues by tracking trends through the newspaper, online news sources and other competing publications.
  9. Help maintain solid customer relationships by handling customer questions and concerns online on time and with professionalism.
  10. Assist in the creation of social media policy and brand manuals that guide its usage and expected outcomes.
  11. Responsible for writing speeches/talking notes for the ED/CEO as at when required.

Knowledge And Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communication and Journalism or any related field.
  2. Three (3) years of relevant work experience.
  3. Membership to the Public Relations Society of Kenya is an added advantage.

Job Title: Marketing & Business Development Officer

Employment Type: Full Time

Qualification: BA/BSc/HND

Experience: 5 Years

Location: Nairobi

Job Description

The Institute hereby seeks to recruit a results-oriented and self-driven experienced professional to join our team for the position above: This position is responsible for the coordination of the Institute’s marketing campaigns and activities related to revenue-generating Units, internally and externally, as guided by the corporate marketing plan, strategy, and policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Formulate and execute corporate marketing plan in liaison with Branch/Unit Managers and other Functional Heads.
  2. Ensuring brand visibility and product awareness through regular market activations.
  3. Giving strategic input into the Institutes’ marketing activities (Branches and SBUs) to ensure Return on Investments as well as advising on the effectiveness of marketing activities
  4. Timely development, processing and dispatch of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, posters and cards to the user units.
  5. Design appropriate tools to generate live leads and make follow-ups for business conversions
  6. Develop and implement Institute’s marketing policy at the user Units/Branches and ensure total compliance
  7. Oversee creation of advertisement and marketing materials to promote KIM products
  8. Generate weekly marketing reports and share with the EXCOM for decision making
  9. Coordinate internal marketing activity schedules to avoid overlap and ensure proper planning and facilitation
  10. Lead implementation of Go-To market campaigns to reach the target market in a timely manner
  11. Prepare marketing budgets in consultation with the respective HOD and other Heads of Functions.
  12. Liaise with Communications Team to develop and implement plans aimed at strengthening relationships with the media organisations to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning of the KIM Brand. This includes marketing activities using digital platforms such as websites, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google ad and providing social media performance monitoring reports to enhance planning for future -marketing activities.

Knowledge And Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  2. Five (5) years of relevant work experience in the service industry.
