The World Around Young Climate Prize Application Form 2022
The prize has been designed to invest in the generation born into the climate crisis, and provide visibility, support and mentorship for 25 of the world’s most talented and passionate climate designers under the age of 25.
They are looking for young people who are working on their own self-started projects that address, draw attention to or mitigate climate change in their community. The chosen applicants will join a bespoke academy and each be mentored by one extraordinary Design Champions – the world’s leading climate-change-focused designers, museum directors, curators, writers and business leaders.
About The World Around
The World Around is a global nonprofit platform founded in 2020 by Beatrice Galilee and Diego Marroquin that is dedicated to making the best new ideas in architecture accessible to all. Taking the most critical issue of our time—the climate crisis—as the lens to view all its activities, The World Around has collaborated with global institutions including United Nations, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Dezeen and the Het Nieuwe Instituut to create unique and widely celebrated public programming.
Eligibility
- Anyone aged 13-25 can submit their work.
- They encourage young people from anywhere in the world to share their projects. If English is not your first language you will be able to indicate this during the application process.
- There is no academic requirement and no need to have a formal design education.
How To Apply
The Young Climate Prize is free to enter for all qualifying participants. Nominations and applications are open until October 31, 2022.
