University of Memphis Application Fee Waiver Code 2024/2025

The University of Memphis (U of M) is a public research university in Memphis, Tennessee. It was established in1912 and has an enrollment of more than 21000 students.

The population of enrolled students at the University of Memphis is 47.6% White, 4.26% Asian, 33.5% Black or African American, 6.47% Hispanic or Latino,  3.34% Two or More Races, 0.221% American Indian or Alaska Native, and 0.027% Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islanders.

How Do I Qualify For Application Fee Waiver?

You may qualify for a fee waiver if your household income is at or below 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines at the time of your admission.

There are several methods by which students can obtain college application fee waivers. Many of these will require students to complete a separate application process for each waiver.

1. The College Board’s SAT Fee Waiver

Students who are eligible for the College Board’s SAT testing fee waiver will automatically be eligible for four college application fee waivers. Students are eligible for SAT testing fee waivers if they meet the following criterion:

  • Students are enrolled in the National School Lunch Program
  • Are part of families whose income falls within the Income Eligibility Guidelines
  • Are enrolled in a government program for low-income students
  • Are you a member of the family that receives public assistance or
  • Students who are living in federally subsidized public housing, foster homes, are homeless, a ward of the state, or are orphans.
2. If They Apply Directly From The School Based On Financial Need

Most schools with application fees will allow students to apply for an application fee waiver on the basis of financial constraints.

3. Legacy Applicants

Students who fall into this category are those who have parents or grandparents that attended and graduated from a particular school.

4. The ACT

Applicants who are eligible for the ACT test fee waiver may equally be eligible for the Request for Waiver or Deferral of College Admission Application Fee. The requirements for the ACT test fee waiver are very similar to the SAT test fee waiver.

5. Apply As A Foreign Student

If you’re applying as an international student, some schools will waive the application fee.
