What Are The Requirements For TSC Registration?
The Teacher Service Commission is the body mandated to register teachers within Kenya and assign them duties in public schools and institutions. The recruitment process is done in line with the recruitment guidelines issued by the Commission. The guidelines are revised from time to time to ensure they are per the professions’ ever-changing dynamics.
1. Must be a Kenya citizen
2. Must be 45 years of age and below
3. Must be registered as a teacher as stipulated in the TSC Act 2012 (those registered but do not possess Certificate of Registration must attach a copy of an online print of TSC number and original bank pay-in-slip for teacher registration).
4. Original professional and academic certificates, which include;
- CPE/KCPE certificates
- CSE/KCSE certificates
- Diploma certificate
- Degree certificate
- PTE certificate
- School/college leaving certificates.
TSC Number Requirements
To be employed by the commission, qualified teachers must register and obtain a TSC number. The requirements for a TSC number are as follows;
- They must possess a certificate of good conduct.
- The relevant academic and professional certificate from a recognized institution.
- KRA PIN certificate.
- A copy of a passport or identity card.
- A passport photo.
- Duly filled GP 69 medical form.
- Required payment of registration fee
The non-refundable fee of Ksh. 1055 is payable to the TSC. It is deposited to the National Bank of Kenya, Account number – 01001000905001. The applicants can also use mobile banking using Paybill business number 625625.
