About Samburu County

Samburu County is a county in the former Rift Valley Province, Kenya. It covers an area of roughly 21,000 km² in northern Kenya where the Samburu, Turkana, and many other tribes live. It stretches north from the Wuaso Ng’iro River to the south of Lake Turkana.

Qualifications

  • Be a resident of Samburu County
  • Be a Degree/Diploma holder
  • Be an Artisan Certificate holder
  • Between 21 and 35 years of age
  • Have passion and experience in serving the local community
  • Must be willing to commit their time on the assignment for the entire period of the programme
  • Good communication and excellent writing skills in Swahili and English
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic working environment
  • Creative and committed in assignment of duties
  • Readiness to be deployed to any work station within the County.

Duration of Internship: Six (6) Months
