Railways Training Institute (RTI) is one of the oldest institutions in East Africa. After the dissolution of East Africa Railways and Habour in 1976, the institute became fully owned by Kenya Railways Corporation, offering only railway courses.
About Railways Training Institute Marine School
Railways Training Institute has undergone a transformation over the years through which various reforms have been implemented. In the reforms, the institute aimed to provide practical and quality training in transport and logistics responsive to the changing market environment through Research and Technology.
Therefore, to achieve this, RTI diversified its courses to include marine courses, and as a result, Railways Training Institute Marine School Kisumu was born.
