We are recruiting to fill the position below;
Job Title: Ophthalmic Nurse

Purpose
- To provide holistic ophthalmic nursing services to both inpatient and out patients within the hospital.
General Responsibility
- Performing initial screening on Ocular patients
- Collecting medical histories
- Assist in eye exams
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with ocular diseases and conditions
- Ensure that all required observations, prescribed treatment, and procedures are properly carried out and documented on patient’s charts/ files.
- Maintaining records of patients visits
- Preparing patients for ophthalmic surgeries and treating them during their recovery and follow ups
- Perform minor procedures
- Educating patients on treatment of ocular conditions
- Planning and implementing nursing care intervention based on patient needs
- Evaluating health care outcomes on patient and clients
- Any other duty that may be delegated to you by the management.
