1. Gregg Popovich: $11 Million
Gregg Charles Popovich is an American professional basketball coach and executive. He is the president and head coach of the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA), and head coach of the U.S. national team.
Taking over as coach of the Spurs in 1996, Popovich is the longest tenured active coach in both the NBA and all major sports leagues in the United States. He is often called “Coach Pop” or simply “Pop” and is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in NBA history and the highest paid.
2. Doc Rivers: $10 Million
Glenn Anton “Doc” Rivers is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
He played as a point guard in the NBA and was known for his defense, a trait that has carried over into his coaching. Rivers was an NBA All-Star in 1988.
Rivers was named the 2000 NBA Coach of the Year in his first season as a head coach with the Orlando Magic. He won an NBA championship as head coach of the Boston Celtics in 2008.
3. Steve Kerr: $8.7 Million
Stephen Douglas Kerr is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
He is an eight-time NBA champion, having won five titles as a player (three with the Chicago Bulls and two with the San Antonio Spurs) as well as three with the Warriors as a head coach.
Kerr is the only NBA player to win four straight NBA titles after 1969. Kerr has the highest career three-point field goal percentage (45.4%) in NBA history for any player with at least 250 three-pointers made. He also held the NBA record for the highest three-point percentage in a season at 52.4% until the record was broken by Kyle Korver in 2010.

Richard Preston Carlisle is an American basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has previously served as head coach of the Detroit Pistons and Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
As a player, Carlisle played for the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and New Jersey Nets. He is also one of only eleven people to win an NBA championship both as a player and as a coach.
5. Nick Nurse: $8 Million
Nicholas David Nurse is an American professional basketball coach. He is the head coach of the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Canadian men’s national team.
6. Scott Brooks: $7 Million
Brooks was appointed as the Wizards head coach in 2016 from OKC. Scott Brooks is not only an excellent trainer, but he was equally good as a player. Presently, he manages the Washington Wizards.
7. Dwayne Casey: $7 Million
Dwane Lyndon Casey is an American basketball coach who is the head coach for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a former NCAA basketball player and coach, having played and coached there for over a decade before moving on to the NBA. He was previously the head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Toronto Raptors, with whom he won the NBA Coach of the Year Award in 2018.
8. Tyronn Lue: $7 Million
Tyronn Jamar Lue is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also formerly served as the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
9. Mike Krzyzewski: $7 Million
Michael William Krzyzewski is the head men’s basketball coach at Duke University, where, since 1980, he has led the Blue Devils to five NCAA Division I titles, 12 Final Fours, 15 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament championships, and 12 ACC regular season titles.
Among men’s college basketball coaches, only UCLA’s John Wooden has won more NCAA championships with a total of 10. He is widely regarded as one of the best college basketball coaches of all time.
10. Billy Donovan: $6 Million
William John Donovan Jr. is an American professional basketball coach and former player. He has served as head coach of the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA) since September 2020 after previously coaching the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2015 to 2020.
Before moving to the NBA, he served as the head basketball coach at the University of Florida from 1996 to 2015 and led his Florida Gator teams to back-to-back NCAA championships in 2006 and 2007, as well as an NCAA championship appearance in 2000.
