Full List Of Medical Courses That Don’t Require Chemistry
Admit it, not all science-inclined students enjoy chemistry as a subject. We all had that subject in high school that gave us the irks and for most of my friends, it was chemistry plus we had a stern dude as a teacher so it was hard.
I know what is going around at the moment that chemistry and mathematics are one of the principal courses you will need to study in a medical course but what if I told you that with the advancement in technology and knowledge, there are tons of medical courses where the expertise of mathematics and chemistry care not quite needed.
And if you ever wonder what medical jobs you can go for that do not require chemistry, then the list is just a scroll away.
- Medical Transcriptionist
- Therapists & Counselors
- Medical Sonographer
- Dental Assistant
- Radiologic Technologists
- Medical Lab Technician
- Medical Assistant
- Medical Secretary
- Certified Phlebotomist
- Medical Social Worker
- Healthcare Recruiter.
I feel you should hear this clearly, to gain admission to study a medical course in any University, you will surely need a C in chemistry and the rest of the primary science subjects but you do not have to study chemistry as a core course except in your first and second year of study then you can offer it as an elective or forget about it. However, if you intend to earn a degree in biochemistry, the knowledge of chemistry will be greatly appreciated because this is a Chemistry course.
There are actually very few (and I mean it when I say very few) medical courses you might not need chemistry and they include;
- Optometry
- Biomedical science
- Physiotherapy
- Radiography
- Midwifery
- Human sciences
- Forensics.
