About Mandera County

Mandera County is the northeasternmost county in Kenya. Its capital and largest town is Mandera. The county is bordered by Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the east, and Wajir County to the southwest. According to the 2019 census, the county has a population of 1,200,890 and an area of 25,939.8 square kilometres.

Qualifications

  • Be a resident of Mandera County
  • Be a Degree/Diploma holder
  • Be an Artisan Certificate holder
  • Between 21 and 35 years of age
  • Have passion and experience in serving the local community
  • Must be willing to commit their time to the assignment for the entire period of the programme
  • Good communication and excellent writing skills in Swahili and English
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic working environment
  • Creative and committed in the assignment of duties
  • Readiness to be deployed to any workstation within the County.

Duration of Internship: Six (6) Months
