How To Apply for Maine Women Writers Collection Research Support Grant Program 2022
The grants are intended for faculty, independent researchers, and graduate students at the dissertation stage who are actively pursuing research that requires or would benefit from access to the holdings of the Maine Women Writers Collection.
The Maine Women Writers Collection was founded in 1959 by Grace Dow and Dorothy Healy to preserve and make available the writings of Maine women who had achieved literary recognition. They collect the work of authors and creators who identify as female, femme, transfeminine, or non-binary, and include both published and unpublished material such as letters, photographs, diaries, memorabilia, artwork, and other forms of creative work.
