The Commission seeks to recruit qualified and competent staff to fill the below vacant positions;
Title: Management Trainee
Qualification: BA/BSc/HND
Location: Thika
Kakuzi PLC is looking to recruit freshly qualified graduates as Management Trainees to strengthen the management teams in our Horticulture and Macadamia Divisions.
The positions exist for the purpose of training and developing recent graduates with educational background in agricultural sciences to learn and understand our business and operation, with the intent to have qualified individuals available to fill progressively more responsible positions in future.
The job holders will be involved in coordination and control of the production activities of the farm under the supervision of Divisional managers.
The areas of responsibility will include management of employees and employee related issues, new crop establishment, irrigation, crop nutrition, crop husbandry, crop protection, post-harvest procedures and Integrated Pest Management.
Qualifications and Person Specifications
- Degree in Agricultural Sciences, preferably Horticulture with a minimum of second Class Honours.
- Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Positive and self-motivated individual.
- Willing to work in a farm environment.
- Be a team player with good interpersonal skills
- Be a person of Integrity.
Title: Trainee Estate Accountant
Qualification: BA/BSc/HND
Location: Thika
Kakuzi PLC is looking to recruit highly focused and results oriented individuals for the positions of Trainee Estate Accountants.
The positions exist for the purpose of training and developing individuals with the right educational background to be part of the accounting function at our Makuyu operations.
The job holders will work under the supervision of Area Accountants/ Line Managers and will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records and ensuring accurate and timely accounting inputs to meet strict deadlines. In addition, the persons will be involved in monthly expenditure analysis and reporting.
Qualifications and Person Specifications
- Should have obtained CPA Part II or equivalent level of ACCA
- Hold a degree in any business discipline
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Accounting experience in a computerized environment will be an added advantage
- Be a person of Integrity
- Be a team player with good interpersonal skills
- Willing to work in a farm environment.
