Field Interviewers Needed at Kenya National Bureau of Statistics 2021

Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) is a corporate body established under the Statistics Act (2006). It is the principal Government agency responsible for the collection, compilation, analysis, publication and dissemination of official statistical information and its custody.

We are recruiting to fill the positions below:

Job Title: Field Interviewers

Employment Type: Full Time

Qualification: BA/BSc/HND

Experience: 5 years

Location: Nairobi

Job Field: Data Science / Research

Kenya National Bureau of Statistics in collaboration with other stakeholders will be undertaking the 2022 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (2022 KDHS) for a period of six (6) months. The Bureau invites applications from suitably qualified Kenyans to fill the following position: –

Terms of Engagement: Temporary (six (6) months)

Ref: KNBS/FI/1/2021

No. of Posts: Five (5) per County

1. Keeping a record of call backs to enable him/her assess progress, and address challenges;
2. Recording comments and questions from respondents which were not adequately answered;
3. Submitting the completed questionnaires appropriately;
4. Submitting field reports to the Supervisors;
5. Editing work to ensure accuracy and completeness before submitting;
6. Attending all the relevant trainings and demonstrating competency;
7. Ensuring that data confidentiality is guaranteed;
8. Undertaking any, other work-related assignments as maybe assigned from time to time.

Requirements for Appointment:

1. Must be a Kenyan citizen;
2. Should have completed at least secondary School level of education, with a minimum of C- (minus) or its equivalent and a Certificate/Diploma;
3. Applicants with Bachelor Degrees from a recognized institution will have an added advantage;
4. Must be conversant with the main local language/dialect of the area of work;
5. Should possess good communication skills;
6. Should be a team player;
7. Must be available for a period of an uninterrupted seven (7) months from the date of recruitment.
