Job Title: Registrar

Location: Gindiri, Plateau.

Duties

  • Shall be responsible to the Provost for the day to day administration of the institution.
  • Shall be responsible to the Governing Council through the Provost
  • Shall be Secretary to the College Council, Academic Board and all the Statutory Committees.
  • Shall take charge of the Registry Department
  • Responsible for keeping all records in the institution, as it is obtained in similar institutions of learning.

Qualification and Experience

  • Candidate must possess Master’s Degree or a minimum of Second Class Lower Degree, (B.A or B.Sc.) in Social Sciences, Arts or Humanities from a recognized University, plus 10 years Post Qualification cognate experience or a holder of Master’s Degree in any of the disciplines mentioned above plus 7 years cognate experience. Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) is an added advantage.
  • Applicants should not be below the rank of a Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS 14.
  • The possession or knowledge of ICT shall be an added advantage.
  • Membership of a recognized professional body is required.
  • Must be physically, emotionally & morally sound; with agreeable personality to command the respect of both Staff and Students of the College.
  • Should have ability to relate very well with staff and students at even the most challenging circumstances.
  • Should show evidence of active research and other activities beneficial to the Challenges of Administration in the Institution.
  • Must not be above 59 years of age.

Terms of Appointment and other Conditions of Service

  • The Salary is CONSOLIDATED and other conditions of service shall be as stipulated in the Scheme of Service or Conditions of Service of the Institution or as applicable in other similar Institutions, and entry point shall depend on cognate experience.
  • Other entitlements are as according to current Government or NCCE circular/policy applicable to other Institutions.
  • Tenure of office shall be for a period of five (5) years at the first instance and may be renewed thereafter for a second term of (5) five years and no more.

Job Title: College Librarian

Location: Gindiri, Plateau.

Duties

  • Shall be responsible for formulating the overall Library Policy;
  • Making personal contacts and liaising with Departments;
  • Preparing library booklets and engaging in other matters of common interest for the benefit of the College Library and the institution at large.
  • Shall be responsible to the Provost for the smooth running of the College Library.

Qualification and Experience

  • Candidate should be a holder of Master’s or Ph.D Degree. in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized University, plus at least 14 years cognate experience in Tertiary Institution.
  • He/she should be a registered member with a professional body, and should be computer literate. Having attained the rank of Deputy
  • Librarian in a Tertiary Institution is an added advantage.
  • Candidate should not be more than 59 years of age.

Terms of Appointment and other Conditions of Service

  • The salary is CONSOLIDATED and other conditions of service shall be as stipulated in the Scheme of Service or Conditions of Service of the Institution or as applicable in other similar Colleges; entry point shall be dependent on cognate experience.
  • Other fringe benefits shall be as applicable to this post in other Institutions, or current Government circulars.
  • Tenure of office shall be for a period of five (5) years at the first instance and may be renewed thereafter for a second term of five (5) years and more.

Job Title: Director of Works

Location: Gindiri, Plateau.

Duties

  • Shall be responsible to the Provost for the maintenance of all structures and vehicles; Ensure quality and standard of projects being executed.
  • Should be able to receive ideas and translate them into new projects
  • Shall ensure cordial relationship between the College and Contractors, Consultants, etc.
  • Shall also ensure that all projects are in accordance with specifications.

Requirements

  • Candidate should possess a minimum of Second Class Lower Degree, or HND plus Post Graduate Diploma (PGD), or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Civil or Building Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution with 14 years cognate experience, and not below the rank of a Deputy Director on CONTEDISS 14 plus a professional registration with a relevant body (COREN).
  • Knowledge of ICT shall be an added advantage.
  • He/she must not be above 59 years of age.
  • He/She should be in the engineering cadre.

Terms of Appointment and other Conditions of Service

  • Salary shall be as applicable in other similar institutions, and entry point shall depend on cognate experience.
  • Other fringe benefits shall be as applicable to those of other institutions, or current Government circulars.
  • Tenure of office shall be for a period of five (5) years at the first instance and may be renewed thereafter for a second term of five (5) years and more.

Job Title: Bursar

Location: Gindiri, Plateau.

Duties

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and properly managing the Financial System of the College.
  • Responsible to the Provost for any financial advice.

Qualification and Experience

  • Candidate should possess a minimum of Second Class Lower Degree or HND in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 14 years Post qualification cognate experience and should not be below the rank of a Deputy Bursar on CONTEDISS 14.
  • He/she should be a registered member with either ICAN or ANAN. The possession of the knowledge of ICT is an added advantage.
  • Must not be above 59 years of age.

Terms of Appointment and other Conditions of Service

  • The Salary is CONSOLIDATED, and other conditions of service shall be as stipulated in the Scheme of Service or Conditions of Service of the Institution or as applicable in other similar institutions; entry point shall depend on cognate experience.
  • Other benefits are as obtained in other similar Institutions and subject to prevailing conditions of service, or Government circular.
  • Tenure of office shall be for a period of five (5) years at the first instance and may be renewed thereafter for a second term of 5 years and more.

Job Title: Provost

Location: Gindiri, Plateau.

Duties

  • The Provost, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institution, is both the Chief Academic and Administrative head of the College and shall be responsible to the Governing Council for the orderly development of the College Law, Terms and Conditions of Service for the staff of the College.
  • He/she shall foster good rapport with the relevant organs of the MOE, NCCE, TETFund and other professional bodies that could lead to the ultimate attainment of the status of Centre of Excellence for which the College is known.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a Ph.D or Master’s Degree in Education and any academic discipline in a field relevant to at least one programme in the College from a recognized University and should not be below the rank of a Chief Lecturer on COMPCASS 09 or Senior Lecturer from a University. The Possession of a Ph.D and knowledge of ICT shall be an added advantage.
  • Must not have less than 10 years post-qualification cognate teaching and administrative experience in a Tertiary Institution, and must have served for 5 years as a Chief Lecturer in a College of Education.
  • Must not be above 59 years of age.
  • Should have potentials and capabilities for providing academic leadership and executive direction for an institution of this standing.
  • Have considerable administrative experience in an institution of higher learning and must have made substantial contributions to teaching/knowledge through research/publications in scholarly professional journals and other publications.
  • Must be of good conduct, possess sense of discipline, dedication, resourcefulness and be able to command the respect and loyalty of the members of staff and students.
  • Must be able to foster personal, social, ethnic, political, religious and other sectional interests.

Terms of Appointment and other Conditions of Service

  • The Provost shall hold office for a term of four (4) years, eligible for re-appointment for a second term of four (4) years after a satisfactory performance.
  • The salary attached to the post is in accordance to a special scheme of service and is consolidated.
  • Other entitlements are as according to current NCCE or Government Circulars/Policies applicable similar Colleges of Education.
