  • If you are a WASSCE holder, you must pass at least six subjects. These comprise English Language and Mathematics with a minimum of C6 in any three of the six subjects relevant to your program choice.
  • If you are an SSCE holder, you must pass at least six subjects, including English language and Mathematics. Three of the six subjects must be directly related to the program of your choice.

It depends on the certificate you are using to apply. While a credit pass in WASSCE means grades from A1 to C6, a credit pass for SSCE means grades from A1 to D7. So, if you have a D7 in SSCE, you may be considered for admission.

How To Apply For Teacher Training In Ghana

Based on the prospectus for teacher training colleges, the first thing you should do is visit the official admission portal. Once there, follow the following steps:

  • Fill out the application form and fill in all the required details. This includes your passport picture. The passport must be in JPEG format and must not be bigger than 40 KB in size.
  • Click on the ‘Save and Continue later icon’ to save your application form and continue at a later time to edit it.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ to complete your online application, and after that, click the’ Print Form’ icon to print the Confirmation Page.
  • Keep the printed confirmation page safe. The application form number shown on it would be needed to check your admission status and print your admission letter.
  • Click on the ‘Close icon’ to go back to the login page.

Note that you are expected to print two copies of your confirmation pages and add your result slips to them. Also include other important documents and forward them by post to the training college you are applying to.
