How To Register

  • Visit the official IELTS website.
  • Go to ‘Register for Test’ option.

IELTS Exams Pattern

The test comprises four sections: Reading, listening, writing, and speaking.

The duration for each test are as follow:

Reading: 60 minutes (40 questions)

Listening: 30 minutes + 10 minutes transfer time (4 recordings)

Writing: 60 minutes (2 questions)

Speaking: 11-14 minutes (3 questions)

How Long Is The IELTS Test

The total duration for the IELTS test is 2 hours 45 minutes.

How Is IELTS Score Calculated

You’ll get a band score for your listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills after which the average score of your performance is calculated and that is your final score. However, if your final score is not precise, your average score will be either rounded up or down to the nearest 0.5. For example, if your band score is 7.9 it will be rounded up to 8.

How To Access Your IELTS Score Report

If you have taken IELTS Exams, you can access your result on the Test Taker Portal. If you took the paper test, you’ll be able to access your result after 13 days from the day of your exam and if you took the computer-based test, you should be able to access your result within 3-5 days after the exam.
