9mobile is a Nigerian private limited liability company. EMTS acquired a Unified Access Service License from the Nigerian Communications Commission in 2007. The License enables EMTS provide Fixed Telephony (wired or wireless), Digital Mobile Services, International Gateway Services and National/Regional Long Distance Services in addition to spectrum assignments in the 900 and 1800 MHz bands.

Job Title: Specialist, Enterprise Support Services (Big Data)

Job Summary

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Big data infrastructure and tools, including collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing our data and data systems.
  • Service and Resource/Infrastructure capacity development and governance across enterprise systems.

Principal Functions
Tactical:

  • Assist in the implementation of approved policies and procedures for Big data infrastructure and tools design, implementation and maintenance.
  • Partner with business leaders, IT service operations team and other relevant stakeholders to identify Big data solution and infrastructure in line with Business requirements
  • Responsible for planning of Big data solution and infrastructure upgrades and deployment.

Operational:

  • Provide technical and operational support in management of Big data solution and infrastructure in a highly dynamic business environment and to support business
  • Provide support in the implementation and user acceptance testing of Big data solution and infrastructure.
  • Assist in the development of a proactive maintenance cycle for Windows operating systems and automate preventive/routine maintenance on systems
  • Gather and process raw data at scale
  • Create schedules for data and control flows
  • Design and develop data applications and reports using selected tools and frameworks as required and requested.
  • Read, extract, transform, stage and load data to selected tools and frameworks as required and requested
  • Perform tasks such as writing scripts, web scraping, calling APIs, write SQL queries, etc.
  • Work closely with the other team members for 3rd party integration of data sources
  • Process structured and unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis.
  • Analyze processed data.
  • Support business decisions with ad hoc analysis as needed.
  • Monitoring data performance and modifying infrastructure as needed.
  • Provide input into documentation and updating of Standard operating procedures and process documents.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or more in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5 – 7 years of recent experience in data engineering.
  • Very strong SQL/PLQL skills and ability to manipulate data across heterogeneous data sources is required
  • A solid track record of data management showing your flawless execution and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with statistics.
  • Programming experience, ideally in Python, Spark, Kafka or Java, and a willingness to learn new programming languages to meet goals and objectives.
  • Experience in C, Perl, Javascript or other programming languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data cleaning, wrangling, visualization and reporting, with an understanding of the best, most efficient use of associated tools and applications to complete these tasks.
  • Experience in Hive, Spark or/and MapReduce is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, or information retrieval.
  • Experience processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources.
  • Experience with machine learning toolkits including, H2O, SparkML or Mahout

Job Title: Specialist, Enterprise Support Services (ERP)

Job Summary

  • Provide support in the design and implementation of Oracle ERP HCM Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and collaboration systems Leads the analysis and design in the Oracle ERP HCM area in close cooperation with the business teams and development.

Principal Functions
Tactical:

  • Assist in the implementation of approved policies and procedures for Oracle ERP HCM design, implementation and maintenance.
  • Partner with business leaders, IT service operations team and other relevant stakeholders to identify Oracle ERP HCM in line with Business requirements
  • Responsible for planning of Oracle ERP HCM solution upgrades and deployment.

Operational:

  • Provide technical and operational support in management of Oracle HCM module in a highly dynamic business environment and to support business
  • Understands the business requirements, captures functional and technical requirements, translates them into the Oracle HCM module requirements and integrates requirements with other functional and technical teams.
  • Contributes to and drives configurations, reports, interfaces, testing, user training and knowledge transfer.
  • Guides customers through Oracle delivered functionality, advises customers on best practice, maps business processes to delivered functionality
  • Develops functional and technical design and documentation for Oracle Applications dependent data conversions, interfaces, custom reporting including use of documented revision control.
  • Design and develop data applications and reports using selected tools and frameworks as required and requested.
  • Participates in the design, development and maintenance of Conversions, and Interfaces between Oracle’s Suite of Business Applications and third-party vendors.

  • Drives there solution & troubleshooting of issues during development and postproduction support, reporting /escalating to management, when needed.
  • Leads project team and initiatives, when called upon.
  • Maintains ongoing, successful relationships with customers; coordinates directly with the customer to ensure that a high level of satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Carry out other duties as instructed by Manager, Enterprise Support Services.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or more in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 4 – 6 years of recent experience in Oracle HCM experience, Minimum 3 Years of Oracle Global HCM Cloud Core HR and Absence Management end to end implementation experience.
  • Very strong SQL/PLQL skills and ability to manipulate data across heterogeneous data sources is required
  • Candidates with Payroll, Talent Management, Recruiting, Workforce Management, and HCM analytics with multi-Org and multi-country implementation experience would be preferred.
  • Lead all workshops (Process, design, configuration, test and validate) and act as lead for Core HR and Absence Management Implementation.
  • Provide functional application leadership and guidance to client regarding “leading practices” and the functionality of the software modules through all phases of an implementation.

Job Title: Specialist, BSS

Job Summary

  • This role undertakes the operations of the relevant Business Support Systems (BSS)covering all environments; Production, Test and Disaster Recovery to ensure adequate maintenance, operation and improvement of the entire BSS components and related software stack to achieve the required quality of service and service levels.
  • The role focuses on mainly on the Customer Relationship Management (CRM), KYC solution and Mobile Number Portability (MNP) systems but is required to have knowledge of and would be required to work on other BSS solutions, Provisioning, Middleware, Mediation and related systems.
  • The Convergent Billing System (CBS) is excluded from the scope of the BSS solutions.

Principal Functions
Tactical:

  • Participate and contribute to the development and maintenance of the IT Strategy and IT Operating model
  • Enforce BSS related processes and procedures.
  • Provide input on BSS Operations to other relevant IT processes and procedures.
  • Provides advisory services to IT Senior Management on BSS and operations
  • Support BSS architecture design and optimization and BSS integration with Operations Support Systems (OSS) and the CBS
  • Support project planning and execution within the BSS domain
  • Drive continual enhancements and improvements to the BSS and processes for business benefits.
  • Guide IT to optimal value creation using trending, analysis and benchmarking capabilities.
  • Drive for the attainment of agreed service levels for the BSS Operations and related KPIs
  • Liaise with revenue management in ensuring business revenue is secure with appropriate interventions where there are business exposures.

  • Monitor the assigned BSS application services for availability, performance in line with agreed Service Levels, overall health check of underlying system processes, capacity in line with licensing and business requirements, batch jobs monitoring/management.
  • Carry out trend analysis, root cause analysis, known error establishment, and creation of Change Requests, Incidents and Problem tracking and escalation, resolution and closure, user administration, License Management & Administration and service reporting for the assigned BSS applications.
  • Contribute to regular health check service to provides comprehensive BSS application status information for the assigned systems to aid the identification of potential issues and bottlenecks and forestall any events that may affect the availability, performance, and security of the application.
  • Analyse and diagnose the resource utilization trends and problems associated with the application processes and tuning the assigned BSS application environment, collaborating with IT Performance & Capacity Management functions to achieve and/or maintain the agreed Service Levels.
  • Ensure proper documentation of the assigned BSS operating environments and storage into the knowledge management system for purposes of knowledge management and business continuity.
  • Manage the inquiry and request handling service in fulfilling standard and ad-hoc service requests related to the assigned BSS.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to develop and periodically update a standard recovery procedure for operation to follow when a disaster occurs.
  • Contribute to ensuring the adequacy of the available Disaster Recovery (DR) infrastructure of the assigned BSS to either maintain operation functions at an interim minimal survival level and/or re-establish full scale operations at a state of normal operation level if possible.
  • Participate in the periodic disaster recovery drills for services involving the assigned BSS as planned and executed by the IT Business Continuity team
  • Ensure all system and non-system processes required to guarantee a successful transfer of services between primary and DR sites are operational and working as planned.
  • Implement a system to validate the integrity of replication and all DR processes/services between the primary and DR sites and provide periodic reports to IT Management.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Sciences from an accredited college / university preferred.
  • Strong customer-centricity is required.
  • 4 to 6 years of combined experience work experience in CRM, MNP and other BSS operations with role no less than half of those in an IT/Telecoms environment is strongly required.
  • Experience with IT resource planning, task prioritization, budget / cost control.  Strong ability to process data and extract actionable insights.
  • Sound knowledge of internal business processes in the mobile telecommunications industry; possesses a broad-based operational perspective and provides solutions.
  • Experience inworking / negotiating through complex issues and providing alternative solutions.
  • Good and demonstrable knowledge of & experience in IT Service Management in general and IT Operations specifically is required.
  • Highly developed business communications skill (verbal and written), good team player, change agent, strategic and creative, excellent relationship management skills and the ability to drive performance, consensus from all areas within the company.
